My Dad was a normal man. He did extraordinary things. He served as a member of the RAF first as a airframe fitter and then as a nurse. He married my Mum in 1959 and they had three children Me. Tony and Carol and 50 years together. Well 47 really because my Dad had Parkinsons with Dementia and, though Mum struggled to care for him, he gradually slipped away into the world of Dementia. He became iller and iller and went into a coma in June this year and on July 3rd he gently left this world.
We remember him with laughter and some tears, but we always remember him as being here.
Good night Gods bless Dada Love you
Geraldine

Hi Dad
We are doing our best this Christmas Dad, we know you would want us to have a good and happy one. All the years you spent away from us, serving your country and easing the pain of the injured and dying. We always knew that you were there somewhere in the world.
It's just that Daddy, this time you won't be coming home. Miss you so much.
Geraldine

Those we love remain with us
for love itself lives on
and cherished memories never fade
because a loved ones gone
those we love can never be
more than a thought apart
for as long as there is memory
they'll live on in the heart.
